Ajanta caves is at around 5hrs road journey from Amravati(Maharashtra) and Ellora is at 4hrs journey. You can base Aurangabad for both caves tour.
You can pick train for Bodh Gaya (Bihar) from Jalgaon/ Bhusawal having good number of super fast trains directly towards the area. Refer Railways website for detailed information thereof.
